Senior Product Manager

Location

Prague, Czech Republic

INFORMATION

The Senior Product Manager is expected to own a mini-portfolio of products at the company (ie consumer, SMB, 3rd parties). The product manager will ensure that products in their portfolio reflect the needs of the companys customers and partners and that the products are competitive in their market segments. As such, Senior Product Managers will demonstrate competencies in market research, innovation methods, prototyping, and requirements management. Senior Product Managers are supported by Technical Product managers in the areas of requirement definition, use-case definition, high-level design, and basic proto-typing.

Responsibilities

 Define the requirements and vision for products in their portfolio

 Create the product requirements and interactive mock-ups required for demonstration and development of desired products / features using appropriate techniques and processes (collectively known as the PRD)

 Mentorship and coordination of the technical product manager(s) assigned to their portfolio

 Accountability

 Owns the P&L responsibility for the products in the portfolio. The Senior Product Manager is expected to effectively utilize the product development resources at his/her disposal to meet companys revenue targets.

 Has dotted-line accountability to the companys revenue-generating functions to ensure that product actions are supportive of and consistent with sales and channel strategies.

 Skills:

Technical Product Manager

Location

Prague, Czech Republic

INFORMATION

The Technical Product Manager will support the product management team. The product manager will ensure that partner products reflect the needs of the company customers and that partner products maintain alignment with the overall of the customer portfolio. The successful candidate will have one or more proven competencies in writing requirements, writing functional specifications, developing use cases, writing QA test cases and writing FAQs for products.

Responsibilities:

 Convert market-level requirements to product-level requirements.

 Develop a set of use-cases for each requirement, ensuring that the set is complete and that each use-case is clearly written and unambiguous.

 Work with the UX team to ensure that use-cases are understood and sufficient to create storyboards and wireframes for the required user interface changes.

 Routinely analyze product instrumentation to determine opportunities for improvement of functionality or for creation of new wanted features.

 Work with QA team to understand defects in the product and to prioritize their remediation

 Work with engineering team to help clarify requirements, use cases and UX features and provide feedback regarding how well functional specs map to product requirements.

 Routinely interface with customer support to understand what features / areas of the products are driving call volumes.

 Perform competitive analysis at the feature level for each major product release our product puts out, briefing key stakeholders like engineering, QA, product marketing, channel marketing and others.

Skills:

 Passion for creating software that delights users

 Understanding of software development process from product requirements definition through to release-worthy software

 Technical understanding of databases, web technologies and programming languages (C, C++)
