A general survey of historical evolution from prehistory to the 19th century, emphasizing the major turning points in economic, social, political and cultural history. Partcular focus will be placed on the history of Eastern Piedmont.
- Texts adopted
Students can prepare for the examination by studying a good history textbook for secondary schools. They can usefully read Andrea Zannini, Storia minima d'Europa. Dal neolitico a oggi, Il Mulino, Bologna 2015.
- Educational aims
Students will be trained to contextualize in space and in time the cultural heritage of which they will be expected to professionally take care, and to evaluate and communicate its historical features.

Frontal lectures with the aid of teaching materials available online on Dir area.

Multiple choice test. A first test session will be held after the first half of the course.
