  • Educational aims: the course is intended to provide students with the basic knowledge of roman private law, enabling them to link the institutes of roman law with the corresponding ones of our private law.

  • Prerequisites: none.

  • Teaching methods: frontal lecture.

  • Other informations: attendance in class is not compulsory.

  • Examination: oral examination. The attending students can take examination dividing the programme in two parts, as follows: the first part is about sources of roman law,  private trial, legal transaction, persons and family, rights in rem and possession; the second part is about obligations, donations, successions. The students can access the second partial examination only if they have passed the first partial examination, with a mark of at least 18/30. The student who fails one of the two partial examination or who chooses the general examination, must pass an oral examination concerning full course programme.
