After a general introduction to civil law systems, the attention will be focused on the Italian legal system.

b) A. TORRENT and P. SCHLESINGER, Manuale di diritto privato, Giuffrè, latest edition. The book is available in the library
Educational aims
The final goal is to achieve a good confidence on private law and its theoretical instruments in order to ascertain legal concepts and apply legal rules.
