The module is an introduction to anthropology and the ethnography of Italy. In particular, it investigates issues concerning the reinvention of traditions and the retrieval and preservation of folk cultural heritage, which is a fundamental element for the creation of and access to the new touristic horizons.

To introduce the students to the study of Anthropology. To develop the ability of finding, interpreting and locating fundamental elements of anthropological knowledge. To communicate analytically and with the use of the technical vocabulary the information learned during the module.
