Educational objectives :


The course aims to provide basic knowledge for the understanding of the main institutions of labour law and collective barganing . Contents: - The evolution of Labour Law . The national and international framework. – The collective barganing. The conflict - strike. Strike in essential public services - The employment relationship : The subordination - Reports atypical - The development of the relationship . The power steering and power specification. The requirement for security - The development of the relationship . The duty of obedience and loyalty - The termination of the relationship. The individual dismissal . The collective redundancy - The decentralization of production - Social Security -


Course Content:

The course will examine the major institutions of trade union rights , employment and social security law .
In particular, the course will cover the following topics: collective bargaining, right to strike, unions, trade union rights, the establishment of the labour relationship, development of the labour relationship, dismisssals, decentralization of production,.

Prerequisites:

Having passed private law exam.

Organisation of teaching:

Lessons will take place primarily through exposure of fundamental legal concepts from time to time covered by the program, having as a main parameter of reference, the laws in force. To supplement the classical teaching methodology, there is the reading and discussion of some cases.

Attendance:


The attendance is optional.

Methods of assessment:


The exam will be oral. There are two exemptions that will be carried out in the middle and at the end of the course. The participation is free of tax exemptions.
