Educational aims

The course aims at providing, on the one hand, some basic knowledge, supplementary to the course of Fundamentals of geography, which are essential for the analysis and interpretation of the territorial organization of tourism, of the conditions and of the effects of its development in various geographical scales. Starting from the methodologies and tools useful for the analysis and the  representation of natural landscapes, the course will explore later the wider issue of geographical and social landscapes, of cultural landscapes, with reference to the relationship between geography and other disciplines that deal with landscape (from architecture to cinematography).
