Educational goals:
The purpose of the course is to provide students with the fundamentals of the principles and rules about the intellectual property system and the competition system.
Contents:
1. Intellectual property law: notions. Genesis and sources.
2. Promotion of culture (copyright).
3. Trade promotion and distinguishing marks: brand, firm, sign.
4. Promotion of research, technological development and intellectual creations (invention and patent).
5. Drawings and models.
6. Unfair competition and advertising.
7. Competition law: notions. Genesis and sources.
8. Prohibited agreements and other practices that restrict competition.
9. Dominance and abuse of dominant position.
10. Concentrations among enterprises.
11. The authorities for the supervision of the competition and the market.
12. Control procedures and sanctions.
Prerequisites:
Students must have proven knowledge of Private Law and Commercial Law.
